International Programs to celebrate ribbon-cutting event for UI's first passport office

International Programs is proud to announce the Grand Opening Celebration of the University of Iowa Passport Office, Wednesday, November 17, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. in 1111 University Capitol Centre.

International Programs (IP) is proud to announce the opening of a passport office to serve the University of Iowa community and the general public. Conveniently located in 1111 University Capitol Centre, the University of Iowa Passport Office will open its doors on Monday, November 1.

Program coordinator and participants reflect on Engaging Across Cultures

The Engaging Across Cultures certificate program creates an opportunity for University of Iowa graduate and professional students to learn more about fostering an intercultural campus while honing skills that will carry into the future workplace. To earn a certificate, participants must complete the introductory session and two elective sessions. Sessions are offered in the fall and spring semesters with some of the sessions being offered each semester.

2021 Global Student Award winners announced

The Global Student Award recognizes one undergraduate and one graduate student who are leaders deeply engaged in international education on campus or abroad. The award was established by UI International Programs and the Division of Student Life in 2019.

The Stanley Undergraduate and Graduate Awards for International Research are given annually to outstanding University of Iowa students for the pursuit of learning activities in international studies and international research/fieldwork. The Korean Studies Research Network to host Inaugural Conference - Nov. 5-6

In a two-day conference (November 5th, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and November 6th, 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.) sponsored by the Korean Foundation and International Programs, the inaugural Korean Studies Research Network (KoRN) Conference aims to bring together scholars and graduate students interested in interdisciplinary research about Korea, serving as a platform to facilitate collaborative and interdisciplinary research among scholars and graduate students in the Midwest.
