UI International Programs Assistant Provost Doug Lee received the International Education of Students Abroad Volunteer of the Year Award earlier this fall. Lee was recognized for his work assisting students throughout their studies and internships abroad.

International Programs and Study Abroad invite UI LGBTQ+ students to a study abroad information session on Tuesday, November 12, at 5:00 p.m. at the Pride Alliance Center, 125 Grand Ave. Court. 

A new University of Iowa opportunity to study abroad is available exclusively to honors students. The trip to Greece is a summer program, and the first honors study abroad trip offered by the UI.

Phoobala Naidoo, who to Iowa from South Africa during apartheid, graduated from the University of Iowa in 1990, where he received his PhD in counselor education. He currently resides in Blair Athol, New South Wales, Australia, where he serves underserved and needy populations. 

Each year, IES Abroad, the leading not-for-profit study abroad organization, recognizes a study abroad professional with the Volunteer of the Year Award. This year, IES Abroad proudly honored Doug Lee, assistant provost of International Programs at the University of Iowa, at the 2019 IES Abroad Annual Conference.

International Programs invites you to attend "Hawks Like You," a study abroad information session co-sponsored by the UI Center for Diversity and Enrichment, Tippie College of Business, CIMBA Italy, and the Institute for the International Education of Students. This event will take place on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 3-4:30 p.m. in s401 Pappajohn Business Building (PBB).
