International Programs official receives Volunteer of the Year Award

UI International Programs Assistant Provost Doug Lee received the International Education of Students Abroad Volunteer of the Year Award earlier this fall. Lee was recognized for his work assisting students throughout their studies and internships abroad.

International alumni spotlight: Phoobala Naidoo

Phoobala Naidoo, who to Iowa from South Africa during apartheid, graduated from the University of Iowa in 1990, where he received his PhD in counselor education. He currently resides in Blair Athol, New South Wales, Australia, where he serves underserved and needy populations.

This year, IES Abroad proudly honored Doug Lee, assistant provost of International Programs at the University of Iowa, at the 2019 IES Abroad Annual Conference.

Hawks Like You event to assist underrepresented students study abroad, Oct. 23

International Programs invites you to attend "Hawks Like You," a study abroad information session co-sponsored by the UI Center for Diversity and Enrichment, Tippie College of Business, CIMBA Italy, and the Institute for the International Education of Students.
