Stanley Awards for International Research are given annually to outstanding University of Iowa students in all academic fields for the pursuit of research abroad, learning activities in international studies, and international career interests.

What began as an opportunity to study dance in Latvia for a year has evolved into an ongoing international platform for Iowa alumna Alyssa Gersony — one that is expanding the real-life impact of dance for individuals who are blind and visually impaired. 

Global Access Ambassador Thomas Lehmkuhl, a double major in political science and history, participated in the Iowa Regents in Ireland: University College Cork Program.

Global Access Ambassador Ty Ahmed, a double major in finance and risk management & insurance, participated in the International Business in Sydney Program.
