Megan Lederman with a group in Vietnam dressed in traditional dress
Megan Lederman completed a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in Vietnam in 2022-2023.

Join us on Thursday, April 24, from 3 to 4 p.m. (CDT), via Zoom for an interactive Fulbright Group Presentation Session to learn about opportunities for U.S. citizens to pursue graduate or professional study, conduct research, or teach English abroad.

During the session, you will learn about the types of Fulbright awards, application components and tips, and get your questions answered. Following the program overview, you will enter a breakout room with UI Fulbright Program Advisor Karen Wachsmuth to learn more about the internal process of applying through the University of Iowa.

Register to attend via Zoom

“For students interested in applying for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, this presentation will be an excellent opportunity to interact with both national Fulbright program officers and UI Fulbright campus advisors and ask any questions you may have,” explained Karen Wachsmuth, associate director of international fellowships for International Programs. “There are several different kinds of awards funded through Fulbright, so it's important to know the difference and what makes the most sense for you, as well as when you can start the application process.”

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. government and administered by the Institute of International Education.
