March 10 South Asian Studies lecture to discuss Hindu untouchables

The UI South Asian Studies Program (SASP) will host a lecture by Deepika Rose Alex entitled "From Untouchables to Hindus: Change and Continuity in the Religious Beliefs & Practices of the Fishermen Community in Kerala." This event is free and open to the public and will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in 1117 UCC.

International students see religious recruitment

University of Iowa international students may find a stack of invitations from local Christians and other religious groups when they arrive on campus each semester. After coming to the university, many international students are encouraged by local Christians to participate in activities and events with them.
