It sounds like you are going to wake up suddenly in a foreign country and be “shocked” into a panic attack. But, that’s not really how it happens. It’s gradual.

On the next WorldCanvass, an exceptional group of UI faculty and industry leaders in the fields of engineering, technology, education, medicine, and business will discuss the current impact of AI and what they see on the horizon. Join us on February 12 for WorldCanvass: Artificial Intelligence. The program, which is free and open to the public, takes place at MERGE, 136 South Dubuque Street, Iowa City, from 5:30-7 p.m. All are invited to a pre-show reception from 5-5:30 p.m.

Global research award to assist archaeological dig in Spain

Thanks to the assistance of a Global Research Partnership Award (GRPA) from International Programs, University of Iowa Professor of Anthropology Katina T. Lillios, along with a group of UI students, will travel to Spain this coming July for the unique opportunity to participate in an archaeological excavation and develop important skills in research collaboration.
