UI student receives a Fulbright U.S. Student Program award for research to India

International Programs will host their final essay workshop regarding the Stanley Awards for International Research on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in room 1117 of the University Capitol Centre. The Stanley Undergraduate and Graduate Awards for International Research are given annually to outstanding University of Iowa students for the pursuit of learning activities in international studies and international research/fieldwork. Undergraduates interested in international studies are especially encouraged to attend. This year’s application deadline is February 5, 2018, at 4:30 p.m.

Would you like to teach English, study, or do research abroad for an academic year at no cost? Join International Programs for the sixth-annual intensive Fulbright U.S. Student Program workshop on Friday, January 26, 2018, from 8:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. in 2520 University Capitol Centre.

International Programs will host a Boren Awards and Critical Language Scholarship information session on Wednesday, October 18, from 5-7 p.m. in 1100 University Capitol Centre. Learn about award requirements, the application process, and have your questions answered by Boren representative Randi Butler and CLS Campus Advisor Karen Wachsmuth.

UI graduate Nicholas McCarty is set to pursue a master’s degree at Imperial College in Kensington, London. With a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry, McCarty hopes to continue his studies in synthetic biology.
