Would you like to teach English, study, or do research abroad for an academic year at no cost? Join International Programs for the seventh-annual intensive Fulbright U.S. Student Program workshop on Friday, January 31, 2020, from 8:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Big Ten Theater (Room 348 in the Iowa Memorial Union).

Please join UI Fulbright Program Advisor Karen Wachsmuth and Fulbright Faculty Mentors to find out more about opportunities to teach English, study, research, or do creative work abroad! This session will cover application basics for undergraduate and graduate applicants from all fields. 

The workshop will include: 

  • Information session on why, how, and when you should apply for a Fulbright
  • Sessions with expert UI Fulbright Faculty Mentors on writing proposals and personal statements in the humanities and STEM fields
  • Panel and Q & A session with successful UI Fulbright faculty and student grantees
