Want to learn more about traditional Japanese culture? Join the University of Iowa Japanese Program for a Japanese culture festival (文化祭 bunkasai) on Friday, November 3, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Iowa City Public Library, Meeting Room A. This event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.

Exhibits will include origami, calligraphy, chopstick race, yukata fitting, kendama, matcha green tea tasting, okonomiyaki tasting, and a Japanese talent show performed by students.

This event is made possible by funding from the Japan Foundation, Los Angeles. It is co-sponsored by International Programs, the Center for Asian and Pacific Studies, the Division of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, and the Department of Asian and Slavic Languages and Cultures at the University of Iowa.
