Thank you for your willingness to participate in an event produced by University of Iowa International Programs. We ask that you read through this brief speaker agreement. Please acknowledge that you agree to the terms by marking the appropriate box, providing your name, and clicking “submit”.

SPEAKER agrees to adhere to the following:

• SPEAKER acknowledges that UNIVERSITY rules prohibit the taking of collections or solicitation of the audience for donations in conjunction with this presentation without prior written authorization.  This includes but is not limited to contributions of money, food, and signatures and includes solicitation on and behalf of political candidates for offices. 
• SPEAKER will notify the UNIVERSITY immediately in the event that an emergency would prevent you from meeting your obligation as SPEAKER.
• SPEAKER warrants and represents that their presentation is their own original work, factually accurate, and contains nothing libelous or otherwise unlawful. SPEAKER has the authority to enter into this contract and has obtained all necessary permissions or licenses from any persons or organizations whose material is included or used in your presentation.
• SPEAKER agrees to "de-identify" (make anonymous) any personal data/information in any form (written, audio, visual, video, or other) that could potentially cause a research participant or bystander to be identified. SPEAKER understands that this may require eliminating, masking, blurring, pixelating, distorting, cropping, or modifying the data in other ways.
• SPEAKER agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the UNIVERSITY, State of Iowa, and Board of Regents from and against any losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees

SPEAKER understands that an agreement to make a virtual presentation or engage in meetings at the UNIVERSITY equates to agreement for the UNIVERSITY to:

• Use SPEAKER’S name and/or image in photos, video, audio, internet transmission or other media.
• Create and use SPEAKER 'teaser or promotional interviews' for publicity (audio and/or video).
• Record and possibly livestream the audio and/or video of SPEAKER’S presentation.
• SPEAKER transfers and assigns to the UNIVERSITY any right, title and interest SPEAKER may have in the photos, videos, and audio recordings, and consents to allow the UNIVERSITY to use those photos, videos, and audio recordings for any UNIVERSITY purpose and to distribute copies worldwide, in perpetuity, in whole or in part, in any form of media, without compensation to me.
