Thanksgiving food

International Programs, the Center for Diversity and Enrichment, and the Office of the Dean of Students are partnering to host a special Thanksgiving meal for UI students and community members on Monday, November 22.

For students who stay on campus during Fall Break week, the meal offers an opportunity for them to celebrate Thanksgiving, eat with other students and community members, and join in community with each other.

The Thanksgiving meal offers a unique opportunity for international students and scholars—many of whom will bring their family members—and might be experiencing Thanksgiving for the first time.

The meal will be catered by HyVee and features turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetarian stuffing, macaroni and cheese, green bean casserole, dinner rolls, apple pie, and pumpkin pie. It will take place in University Capitol Centre, with three seatings for 50 people each at 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m. A grab-and-go meal option is also available for pick-up at 2 p.m.

Space is limited; contact Brandon Paulson at brandon-paulson@uiowa.edu for registration information.
