Are you an undergraduate or graduate student interested in a summer language program abroad, all expenses paid? Join International Programs for two virtual events to discuss strategies for putting together a successful Critical Language Scholarship application.
The Critical Language Scholarship is a program funded by the U.S. Department of State that sends students abroad to study one of 14 critical languages in an intensive, 8-10-week summer language course. The program includes language instruction and cultural immersion within the host country to help students learn the language rapidly. Students of diverse disciplines and majors are encouraged to apply, and the program is open to U.S. citizens only. Participants are expected to continue their language study beyond the scholarship period, and later apply their language skills in their future professional careers.
