korean market stalls

The Korean Studies Research Network (KoRN), with funding from an International Programs Major Projects Award and the Korea Foundation, will bring together leaders and scholars of Korea-related topics and engage them in an open dialogue about opportunities to facilitate collaborative research among scholars and graduate students in the state of Iowa and throughout the Midwest.

The two-day conference, taking place on the University of Iowa campus on Friday, October 21, 2022, and Saturday, October 22, 2022, will feature 18 presenters working in interdisciplinary research about Korea.

KoRN's annual conference provides an outlet for early career scholars, graduate students, and professors to present their research with one another as well as the wider community.

All conference events are free and open to the public. For a full schedule of conference events, people involved in the forum, abstracts, and/or to register for in-person or virtual attendance, visit the conference website.

Through the generous support of the Stanley-UI Foundation Support Organization, the International Programs' Major Projects Award promotes important contributions to scholarly debates and exchanges on international topics, issues, discoveries, and arts.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events.  If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Daniel Vorwerk in advance at daniel-vorwerk@uiowa.edu or 319-467-1619.
