Come learn about the new Iowa Global Health Network (IGHN). Mariola Espinosa, director of the IGHN and associate professor in the Department of History, and Sophie Switzer, senior administrator for global health programs in the College of Public Health, will offer an overview of the network, review the website and communication tools, and discuss plans to facilitate greater networking among faculty.
This event will be held on Friday, October 4, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in 2390 UCC.
The IGHN is an interdisciplinary group of scholars at the University of Iowa whose research and interests lie in the study of real-world health problems and challenges. The network provides opportunities for cross-disciplinary interaction, the development of new scholarly and clinical initiatives, and fosters collaboration among those interested in global health at the University of Iowa. All UI faculty and staff are welcome to join the IGHN.
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Sophie Switzer in advance at sophie-switzer@uiowa.edu or 319-384-4136.
