International Programs was saddened to learn of the recent death of Ed Zastrow, the executive director of the Iowa City Foreign Relations Council (ICFRC). Ed was a familiar figure in University Capitol Centre, passing in the hall with a smile and often a comment about something that happened in the news that day. He took pride in nurturing the Honors Program students he mentored, had a deep commitment to the goals of the ICFRC, and provided programmatic leadership that enhanced community participation and raised the level of discourse around international issues to a new level. We send our heartfelt condolences to his family. Ed’s work will be long remembered, and he will be missed.
