International Education Week celebrates the many ways international education and exchange opportunities prepare citizens for community building in both national and international settings.

The University of Iowa celebrates International Education Week (IEW) each year, serving as an example of our commitment to preparing Americans for a global environment and to attract future leaders from abroad to come to the U.S.  IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, in partnership with universities around the country.

At the University of Iowa, we are #GrowingGlobalHawks through our commitment to all students in their growth, learning, networking, and expansion of knowledge and capacity for what’s new. We hope this week provides space and opportunities for the greater campus community to participate and engage in growing as global Hawks.

IEW took place November 14-18, 2022.
