Please join us at the UI Stanley Museum of Art for the new season of WorldCanvass. International Programs’ unique, internationally focused conversations bring scholars, community members, and thought leaders together before a live audience to discuss questions and issues of the day from a wide range of perspectives.
Host Joan Kjaer skillfully guides the conversation, engaging her guests in a cross-disciplinary exploration of the program theme, which could be anything from "Pursuing Racial Justice" to "Art and the Face of War" to "Climate Science and the Environment" to, well, you name it. Our interconnected world and the rich scholarly resources present on our campus offer endless opportunities for informed, inspiring, and reflective conversation.
An exciting new partnership between International Programs and the UI Stanley Museum of Art brings WorldCanvass, now in its fourteenth year of production, to the museum's stunning new building located at 160 West Burlington Street, Iowa City. The programs take place from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. in the museum lobby unless otherwise noted. The public is invited to enjoy the pre-show reception from 5:00-5:30 p.m.
WorldCanvass is free and open to the public.
