You are cordially invited to the end-of-semester presentation and reception for CPH:4755 International Perspectives: XIcotepec, Mexico on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the College of Public Health Building (CPHB) in room C217. This public student presentation is the culmination of a semester-long experience learning through service partnerships in the town of Xicotepec, Puebla, Mexico. Students will present on their service experience and time abroad, how they have developed as future public health practitioners, and reflections on the trip as a whole. The presentation is free and open to the public. Reception to follow. A Zoom link to view the presentation is available on request (cph-global@uiowa.edu).

The Xicotepec Project is led through joint partnership with Rotary District 6000 (Iowa) and the Rotary Club of Xicotepec de Juarez, Mexico. 2024 marked the 21st year of collaboration between these two communities and the 17th year of participation from the University of Iowa. Along with the students from public health, the Xicotepec Project encourages participation from students in high school and members of the wider Iowa community.

Please join us to celebrate this unique, long-term international partnership between Rotary International and the University of Iowa students and faculty. No RSVP required.
