Jichen Zhang, from Weihai, China, earned a doctoral degree from the University of Iowa (UI) in 2023 and was named one of Slingshot's 2023 Artists to Watch by National Public Radio (NPR).

To celebrate the countless achievements of our international students and their accomplishments, the University of Iowa held the 2023 International Student Graduation Celebration on Thursday, May 11. 

Four University of Iowa international undergraduate students from developing countries were chosen to receive Peace, Charlie One World Scholarships in 2023.

Originally from India, Raj Aditya is a senior studying finance at the University of Iowa. He did a virtual internship in London during COVID-19 and will head to London after graduation in May to pursue a masters degree.

Originally from Saudi Arabia, Daws chose to pursue her undergraduate studies in STEM at the UI because she was intrigued by the research facilities and resources the UI offered to its students. 

Over 170 meals were served to University of Iowa students and members of the surrounding community during a special fall break meal event.
