UI Department of Spanish and Portuguese Professor Luis Martin-Estudillo

 

Learn about a unique virtual opportunity to travel to Spain with UI Department of Spanish and Portuguese Professor Luis Martin-Estudillo.  Join him for an info session on the Cultures of Spain Wednesday, March 3, at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom.

This course offers an overview of Spain’s cultural history and present. Students will interact with a representative group of Spaniards who are prominent in fields such as politics, education, and the arts. During the info session, we will discuss the course content, activities involved in the course, requirements it fulfills, costs, and scholarships.

This four-week summer course (May 17 - June 14, 2021) carries 3 semester hours of resident credit and is taught in Spanish. The course is approved to fulfill the following requirements for University of Iowa students:

  • Values and Culture CLAS Core requirement
  • 2000-level course for Spanish major or minor (fulfills Culture requirement for Spanish major or Culture/Literature/Linguistics requirement for minor)
  • Study abroad requirement for the International Business Certificate
