Ola Khallafallah from Sudan, who recently earned a BS in microbiology (pre-medicine) from the University of Iowa, was chosen to receive the Peace, Charlie One World Scholarship for 2024. Funding for the scholarship is made possible by the generosity of Dr. Charles W. Day, a retired clinical psychologist and consultant who was raised in Iowa. The purpose of the Peace, Charlie One World Scholarship Fund is to promote world peace, understanding, compassion, and harmony among different ethnic and cultural groups through higher education.
