All students participating in an IES Abroad academic-credit, semester-length or summer program through the University of Iowa will be considered for the IES Abroad financial aid award (semester up to $6,000; summer up to $3,000). UI-Sponsored program (ABRD:XXXX) awards will be released through the U-Bill process; non UI-Sponsored program (ABRD:3500) awards will be a direct discount to the total fee billed by IES Abroad invoice sent to the student.
Eligibility requirements
- Enrollment at a public college or university that is a Member or Associate member of the IES Abroad consortium
- Acceptance and attendance in an IES Abroad program authorized by your home university
- Standard programs only; customized programs are not eligible for IES Abroad financial aid
Application process
Students meeting the eligibility listed above will receive a notification of funding shortly following the submission of the IES application, sometimes prior to your confirmation of your program.
