The University of Iowa will host SCAMO, an interactive bingo-style presentation designed to help international students and scholars recognize and avoid common scams. Hosted by Student Legal Services and International Student and Scholar Services, the in-person event takes place April 15, and includes practical guidance, reporting resources, and free pizza.

Scams targeting university communities are on the rise, particularly those aimed at international students and scholars. To help participants recognize and respond to these threats, the University of Iowa will host SCAMO, an interactive, bingo-style presentation focused on identifying common scam tactics and knowing what to do if you’ve been targeted.
