Each of the International Writing Program's Fall Residencies ends with an "Images of America" open-mic panel where the writers speak on their time in Iowa and the United States, what they saw, what they learned, and what they will take home with them. This is always a funny, surprising, and poignant event, so we hope you'll have time to join us.

The IWP Friday Panel Discussion series provides an opportunity for the residents of Iowa City to meet and converse with writers from around the world who are the Fall 2025 Writers in Residence at the University of Iowa International Writing Program.

The series is sponsored by The UI International Writing Program and The Iowa City Public Library.
