University of Iowa service-learning students who traveled to Xicotepec over spring break will give a public presentation on their classroom and service experience, how it has changed them, and what meaning it may have for them in the future as they leave the university to begin their careers. Come see and hear how Rotary District 6000 and the University of Iowa have partnered to offer a unique and often life-changing experience for young learners over the past 16 years.
The presentation is free and open to the public. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Paul Gilbert in advance at 319-384-1478.
Presentations will be held on May 2, 2023, from 6-7 p.m. at the College of Public Health’s Callaghan Auditorium (Room N110).
The course is conducted in close collaboration with Rotary International District 6000 of Iowa and the Rotary Club of Xicotepec de Juárez, Puebla, Mexico. Please join us to celebrate this unique, long-term international partnership between Rotary International and the University of Iowa students and faculty.
No RSVP is needed so please invite other interested parties.
