Nine University of Iowa undergraduates are pursuing internships abroad with support from the Dr. Ken Magid Scholarship, established in 2022 by alumna Linda Baker. Recipients share their gratitude, detailing how their internships in countries like Chile, Ireland, and Australia are shaping their future careers and personal growth.

Guadalupe de la Rosa, a public health major, recently returned from Chile where she interned for an organization that empowers individuals through education and the promotion of human rights.

Six University of Iowa students will complete internships abroad this summer with support from the Dr. Ken Magid Scholarship, a fund that was established by Linda Baker (BA ‘68), in memory of her former mentor Dr. Kenneth Magid.
