Amna Haider, who received a BA in international relations and philosophy from the University of Iowa in 2022, is the winner of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Award to Turkey for 2023-24. 

Stanley Awards for International Research are given annually to outstanding University of Iowa students in all academic fields for the pursuit of foreign research, learning activities in international studies, and career interests abroad.

Laura McDowell, who will receive a BA in linguistics and Spanish from the University of Iowa in May 2023, is the winner of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Award to Turkey for 2023-24. 

Guilherme Pinho, who will receive a BA in political science and German from the University of Iowa in May 2023, is the winner of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Award to Germany for 2023-24. 

Kyler Johnson, who will receive a BA in secondary English education from the University of Iowa in May 2023, is the winner of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Award to Brazil for 2023-24. 

Eleanor Hildebrandt, who will receive a BA in journalism and mass communication and BS in global health studies from the UI in May 2023, is the winner of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Award to Germany for 2023-24. 

Charlotte Hilker, who will receive an MA in speech-language pathology from the UI in May 2023, is the winner of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Award to Kosovo for 2023-24.   

Dawn Thomas, who will receive an MAT in secondary English education from the UI in May 2023, is the winner of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Award to Israel. Thomas is the UI’s first student to receive a Fulbright award to Israel. 

Olivia Dunn, who will receive an MA in linguistics from the UI in May 2023, is the winner of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Award to Morocco for 2023-24. 

This two-week grant writing seminar for arts, humanities, and social sciences graduate students is taught by UI faculty with strong track records of winning grants.

Neuroscience student Ashley Lie-Atjam is the winner of a Graduate Study Fulbright/Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam Award for 2023-24. 

Katherine Kustes is the winner of a Fulbright Community-Based Combined Award to Austria for 2023-24, the first UI student recipient of this prestigious award.
