After completing his diploma in game design at a polytechnic in Singapore, Ryan Lim set his sights on studying in the U.S. With a passion for English and writing, he came to the University of Iowa to study theatre.

A group of EducationUSA advisors from 11 advising centers around the world visited the University of Iowa as part of a visit organized by StudyIowa, a non-profit consortium that promotes educational institutions in the state of Iowa.

Katherine Lyu is a recipient of the 2023 Global Student Award, which recognizes one undergraduate and one graduate student who are leaders deeply engaged in international education on campus or abroad. Lyu is an undergraduate student from Xiamen, China, majoring in English & creative writing.
