Sylvia is a graduate of the University of Iowa (2019) with a B.A. in Linguistics/TESL, and of Michigan State University (2024) with an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). She served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant to Hualien City, Taiwan (2020), where she taught English to nearly 300 elementary students from 3rd to 6th grade in Zhong Hsiao primary school.
