Purpose
Through the generous support of the E & M Charities Asian and Pacific fund, CAPS Faculty Conference Travel Awards provide funding for UI faculty to attend or present at domestic or international conferences related to East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific region. Awards will not exceed $800 for traveling to conferences domestically (including Canada) and $1,200 for traveling to conferences internationally. Applicants are encouraged to supplement their awards with funds from other sources.
Application deadline: November 1
Eligibility
Open to tenured and tenure-track faculty members at the University of Iowa whose research primarily focuses on the cultures, societies, and institutions of East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific region.

- Attend or present at domestic or international conferences related to East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific region
Application Process
Complete the online application form. You will need to have the following to complete the form:
- Information about the conference and the applicant's roles and activities during the conference
- A budget for attending the conference
