Many merit-based scholarships and need-based grants are available! Some — totaling more than $700,000 for the current year — are funded by the University of Iowa. Other awards are funded by external institutions.

This site also contains more information about using financial aid for study abroad. In general, you are eligible to receive all forms of financial aid (except work study) if you:

  1. Enroll in a program sponsored by an accredited US or foreign university.
  2. Continue to make satisfactory progress toward your degree.
