All students participating in an IES Abroad academic-credit, semester-length* program through the University of Iowa will be considered for the IES Public University Grant (ranging from $1,000 to $7,000). UI-Sponsored program (ABRD:XXXX) awards will be released through the U-Bill process; non UI-Sponsored program (ABRD:3500) awards as a direct discount to the total fee billed by IES Abroad invoice sent to the student.
Eligibility requirements
- Enrollment at a public college or university that is a Member or Associate member of the IES Abroad consortium
- Acceptance and attendance in an IES Abroad program authorized by your home school
- Standard programs only; customized programs are not eligible for IES Abroad financial aid
Application process
Students meeting the eligibility listed above will receive notification of funding shortly following the submission of the IES application, sometimes prior to your confirmation of your program.
Submission deadline
Deadlines for the IES Public University Grant are the same as the application deadline for the applicable IES Abroad program.
