Request DS-2019 After Less Than 12 Month Absence

In order to return the University of Iowa as a J-1 student after taking time off from your academic program, you will need to obtain a new DS-2019 and apply for a new J-1 visa, which will also require payment of the SEVIS fee. Please contact an ISSS advisor at isss@uiowa.edu for more information.
