Join International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) and Campus Safety to be trained in self-defense. Alton Poole, community outreach specialist, Campus Safety, will lead the training. This event takes place on Saturday, February 17, from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. (CST) in 1117 University Capitol Center.

This Life in Iowa event is a great opportunity to learn about personal safety and self-defense and will give you practical skills that you can use. 

Life in Iowa is a program designed to assist international students in adjusting to life and the academic system here at the University of Iowa. It includes cultural events and academic sessions, as well as career series.
