All are welcome to attend the University of Iowa 2023 Multicultural Showcase on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 7 p.m. (CDT) in the International Ballroom (2nd floor, Iowa Memorial Union). The Multicultural Showcase is part of the University of Iowa’s (UI) annual celebration of International Education Week (November 13-17).

The Multicultural Showcase exists to introduce UI students, faculty, staff, and the greater Iowa City community to different cultures through various vocal and dance performances, ethnic dishes to try, as well as interactive tabling hosted by student organizations and UI colleges and departments.

Food and tabling will begin at 7 p.m. and the showcase will start at 8 p.m.

The Multicultural Showcase is put on by OASIS (Organization for the Active Support of International Students) and is in partnership with International Programs; International Student Support and Engagement; the Center for Language and Culture Learning; the Center for Advancement; the Native American Student Association; the Division of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures Student Ambassadors Program; Study Abroad; CIMBA; and Tippie Global Learning Opportunities.

While International Education Week takes place in mid-November, Iowa will be hosting events throughout the month of November. Visit the International Education Week site to see all the events.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Daniel Vorwerk in advance at 319-467-1619 or daniel-vorwerk@uiowa.edu.
