UI Professor Ray Fagenbaum

Join UI Professor Ray Fagenbaum for an info session to learn about a "Virtual Abroad Experience: International Medicine" on Thursday, April 1, at 4:00 p.m. via Zoom.  Professor Fagenbaum will provide an overview of the program expectations and answer student questions about the course schedule, goals, cultural aspects, and more.

Course Description:
Students will observe healthcare professionals in various hospital/clinic settings and interact with patients. Possibly even more important, it is expected that students, through personal interactions with patients and other experiences, will obtain firsthand experience on cultural, social, and economic aspects in the Dominican Republic.

This course satisfies a major elective for both the UI’s BA in health and human physiology and the BS in human physiology. This course will also count for 1 credit of Honors Experiential Learning.
