Join UI Professor Ana Rodriguez-Rodriguez and Study Abroad Advisor Emily Brown to learn about a Virtual Literary Tour of Madrid on Thursday, March 4, at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom.

Course Description:
This Spanish-taught course will explore writings produced by Spanish authors during the 20th and 21st centuries, in addition to movies, TV shows, and exhibitions inspired by or based on those writings. The course will focus mainly on books, movies, shows, etc. directly related to the city of Madrid and will include virtual visits to current and recent exhibitions in Madrid. Students will talk to several writers about their work and how the city of Madrid and its culture and literature have impacted their writings.

Application deadline: March 15, 2021

Prerequisites: Four semesters of college-level Spanish (or equivalent) taken prior to the start of course; 2000-level Spanish course taken either previously or concurrently
