According to federal law, International Student and Scholar Services may not release information regarding an international student or scholar to anyone other than the student/scholar. If a student/scholar wishes to authorize ISSS to share information with a third party, a Release of Information request must be filled out and submitted to ISSS by the student or scholar.

The only exception is for F-2 or J-2 spouses whose name is also on the specific immigration document; they may pick up this document without consent from the F-1 or J-1 spouse.

F-1 and J-1 Students: To submit a request, Log in to your iHawk account (click the blue login button) using your HawkID and password. Go to “Other Services” and complete the e-form application “Release of Information Consent Form.”

J-1 Scholars: To submit a request, Log in to your iHawk account (click the blue login button) using your HawkID and password. Go to “J-1 Scholar Services” and complete the e-form application “Release of Information Consent Form.”

Once you submit the form you will receive an automatic email acknowledging it has been received in the iHawk system. However, the process is NOT yet complete.

Please wait until you receive a second email, indicating your request has been approved. Then you can have the person contact ISSS or pick up your document.
