DUE TO COVID 19 AND THE CURRENT TRAVEL WARNINGS, WINTER SESSION 2020 STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITIES OFFER VIRTUAL FACULTY-LED COURSES.

Students who are eligible for financial assistance, evidenced on the UI Award Letter, and are interested in Virtual Faculty-Led Course offerings can receive a Need-Based Grant. These grants, based on financial need and program selection, range from $850 - $500.

AWARD CRITERIA

  • Grants are awarded based on the applicant's relative need, as shown on the UI Award Summary
  • US citizens and US permanent residents (with completed FAFSA and UI Award Letter)
  • Undergraduate, enrollment in a full-time degree-seeking student at the University of Iowa
  • Good academic standing 
  • Current academic year FAFSA must be completed and processed by the UI Office for Student Financial Aid
  • Registration in academic credit-earning approved Study Abroad course (ABRD or INTL)
