DUE TO COVID 19 AND THE CURRENT TRAVEL WARNINGS, FALL SEMESTER 2020 STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITIES OFFER VIRTUAL INTERNSHIPS AND VIRTUAL COURSES.

Students who are eligible for financial assistance, evidenced on the UI Award Letter, and are interested in Virtual Internships or Virtual Course offerings (in addition to UI courses) can receive a Need-Based Grant. These grants, based on financial need and program selection, range from $1,000 - $2,000.

AWARD CRITERIA

  • Grants are awarded based on the applicant's relative need, as shown on the UI Award Summary
  • US citizens and US permanent residents (with completed FAFSA and UI Award Letter)
  • Undergraduate, enrollment in a full-time degree-seeking student at the University of Iowa
  • Good academic standing 
  • Current academic year FAFSA must be completed and processed by the UI Office for Student Financial Aid
  • Registration in academic credit-earning approved Study Abroad course (ABRD or INTL)
