The University of Iowa

USAC Scholarships (Including USAC Grant for Study Abroad)

USAC Scholarships

These USAC funding opportunities are available for students participating in a USAC program. The scholarships are awarded based on a diverse spectrum of criteria, ranging from academic merit, program location, first-generation status, military service. The comprehensive list of scholarships is detailed on the USAC website along with eligibility criteria, awards amounts, application instructions and deadlines. The application process for MOST USAC scholarships is completed through the USAC Gateway Student portal with the exception of the Affiliate University Scholarship, listed as USAC Grant for Study Abroad (application information is listed below).

Students who participate in UI-Sponsored USAC programs (ABRD course number) will automatically receive a discount applied toward the USAC published course fee ($440-semester programs). As this discount is included prior to the creation of the Cost Sheet (typically available on UI program webpage and/or provided to students at orientation), students will see the course fee that will appear on their U-Bill. Non-UI-Sponsored programs (ABRD:3500) are not eligible for this discount.
