Korean Language Courses - Fall 2019

August 26 - December 12 (15 weeks)

  • All classes are FREE 
  • Orientation (information and placement): August 23rd, 5:00 - 6:00p.m. at 318 Phillips Hall, University of Iowa
  • Anyone interested in Korean language and culture are welcome.
  • Any level of Korean learners are welcome.
  • Low enrolled classes may be cancelled.
  • No class will be held on Thanksgiving week.

Course Day Time Textbook Course Description
Hangul 1 (Korean Alphabet) Monday  5:30 - 7:10 pm Sejong Korean 1, Lesson 1-5 This class is aimed at learning Hangul (Korean Alphabet) and some basic expressions.
Intermediate 1 Tuesday 5:30 - 7:10 pm Sejong Korean 4, Lesson 7-12 This class focuses on practicing communication in most common situations in Korea.
Beginner 1 Wednesday 5:30 - 7:10 pm Sejong Korean 1, Lesson 6-11 This class is aimed at learning basic expressions and practicing simple conversations.
Beginner 2 Thursday 5:30 - 7:10 pm Sejong Korean 3, Lesson 1-6 This class focuses on practicing communication in most common situations in Korea.
Hangul 2 (Korean Alphabet) Thursday 4:30 -6:10 pm Sejong Korean 1, Lesson 1-5 This class is aimed at learning Hangul (Korean Alphabet) and some basic expressions.
