International Programs to host conversation with national player of the year Luka Garza

International Programs will kick off the first in its Global Alumni Spotlight Series in a talk entitled "Hoops and Hawks: a conversation with Luka Garza." 2021 national player of the year, Luka Garza will discuss life in and outside of basketball and the enriching effects of international exposure and multi-cultural experiences.

The Tippie College of Business, University of Iowa Study Abroad, and the CIMBA Italy Program, have been recognized as a finalist for the 2021 GoAbroad Innovation Award for Innovation in Online Programming for the innovative virtual study abroad course titled International Business in a Time of Disruption: Protectionism, Pandemics, and Political Fragmentation.

Redwan Bin Abdul Baten, originally from Bangladesh, left his career as a dentist to pursue his PhD in health services and policy at the University of Iowa College of Public Health. His work in resource-poor rural areas of Bangladesh inspired him to further his education in the field of public health with an eye towards improving rural communities at the policy level. While busy with academics, research, and leadership roles on campus, Redwan recently took time to share a few of his University of Iowa experiences.
