An exciting lineup of summer virtual study abroad offerings attracted nearly 100 University of Iowa students. Course topics included international business in Italy, women’s empowerment in the Dominican Republic, and cultures of Spain. After reviewing the virtual study abroad course options, Emily Gumal chose Shakespeare’s England. She found it to be a great experience and would recommend it to other students. The University of Iowa is proud to announce its selection as an Institute Partner for the 2021 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders.  Beginning June 21, The University of Iowa will virtually engage 25 of Africa’s bright, emerging Business leaders for a six-week Leadership Institute, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.  Some highlights of the University of Iowa program will include business-specific content, virtual networking events with Iowa community and business leaders, cultural connection activities, and community service meetings.
