"WorldPrairie" premiers Feb. 19 at M.C. Ginsberg

A new University of Iowa-community collaboration, “WorldPrairie,” will make its debut from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, featuring interviews and conversation about U.S. foreign policy towards the Middle East at M.C. Ginsberg, 110 E. Washington St. in downtown Iowa City. The event is free and open to the public.

Gerhild Krapf will moderate a discussion between the panelists, two high-level officials from the French government who are participating in a visit with the Council for International Visitors to Iowa Cities (CIVIC).

The first guest is Mohamed Al Adraoui, a lecturer at the Institute of Political Studies of Paris. Joining Adraoui is Nabil Hajlaoui, special assistant to the assistant secretary for Middle East and North Africa for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

M.C. Ginsberg, International Programs at the University of Iowa and City Channel 4 present “WorldPrairie.” The program will take place once a month on Friday evenings from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at M.C. Ginsberg. The program will air later on Channel 4 and on UITV. The goal is to provide an evening of relaxed conversation focusing on different international issues and themes.
