It’s not too late to apply to an incredible summer study abroad program specifically designed for engineering students. See program details below.

University of Iowa College of Engineering Sponsored Summer Program:

Peking University – Summer Engineering Globex Program

  • Program dates: July 7 – July 26
  • 3 or 6 s.h. (1 or 2 courses)
  • Some courses already pre-approved to meet UI requirements
  • Total estimated costs are $6829 (all inclusive – airfare, housing, tuition, spending money, etc.)

CIMBA – Summer Study Abroad Program

  • Program dates: May 19 – June 13
  • 6 s.h. (2 courses)
    • Statics is offered and taught by UI faculty
  • Statics is already pre-approved to meet UI requirements

Bogazici University Summer Program for Science, Technology and Engineering

  • ABET Accredited
  • Program dates: June 23 – August 13
  • Pay directly to Bogazici at $300/s.h. – up to 10
  • Max $860 for housing (could be $650)
  • Application $110

TU Dortmund

  • Program dates: June 1 – July 31
  • Pays directly to TU Dortmund – approx. 2.990 Euros for everything – excluding flight and spending money
  • Mandatory German course

Sichuan University at the Chengdu American Center

  • Program Dates: 6/27-8/3
  • Pay Directly to Chengdu American Center – Price includes housing in a double dorm
    • 3s.h. $3,145
    • 6s.h. $3,782
    • 9s.h. $4,165
  • Automatic scholarships of $600 for students with 3.0-3.32 GPA and $900 for 3.33+ GPA
