The University of Iowa INdIA Winterim study abroad program will organize a student-moderated conference to allow over 125 recent student participants and instructors to share various aspects of their program experience. The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, in Room W151, Pappajohn Business Building, and is free and open to the public.

The conference will be split into 40-minute segments centered around courses and topics the INdIA Winterim program addresses including sustainability, entrepreneurship and microfinance, palliative medicine, art and architecture, classical music and dance, water resources, environmental planning and more.

The INdIA Winterim is a three-week program in India organized by the Office for Study Abroad in UI International Programs, the Winter Session Office in the UI Division of Continuing Education and the Department of Geography in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The program is open to anyone -– not just UI students — and allows participants to address a variety of social and environmental problems in India and explore local and global solutions.
