Study Abroad hosts "Life after Study Abroad" event

February 11th, 2013

Fighting wanderlust after your study abroad experience? Just need more international travel in your life?

We hear you!

That’s why we’re hosting Life after Study Abroad Wednesday, February 20 from 7:30- 8:30 p.m. in 1100 UCC (the UI classroom near Beat the Bookstore) for study abroad returnees and interested students to learn more about their international options outside of study abroad and after graduation. Cookies will be provided!

Meet other returnees and hear representatives from our office speak about:

  • WIVA (Work, Intern and Volunteer Abroad) opportunities
  • How to market your study abroad experience
  • Fulbright (grants to teach English and conduct research abroad)
  • Peace Corps

So come and mingle, eat cookies, and plan your future abroad!

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Sterling Bacher at or (319) 335-0353.
