SASP seminar will feature ‘A Case Study in Slum Relocation’ film viewing Oct. 13

The South Asian Studies Program in International Programs will welcome Howard Spodek, professor of history at Temple University, to speak about his recent research in the city of Ahmedabad on Monday, October 13, from 4-6 p.m. in Room 2390 University Capitol Centre.

At 4 p.m., audience members will view Spodek’s recent video “The Urban World: A Case Study in Slum Relocation.” Following the viewing, Spodek will give a talk on “Ahmedabad: The Past, Present, and Future of ‘Shock City.’”
